Dear Voornaam,

Good morning and happy Friday.

The Scotsman leads on an exclusive today from our Arts Correspondent Brian Ferguson related to the (still) ongoing row over Creative Scotland's funding for a film featuring hardcore sex. The Scottish Government’s arts agency has been criticised for not giving MSPs a “full picture” over its backing for the planned multi-screen film installation and a subsequent decision to withdraw its £85,000 funding offer. Now, as Brian reports, the arts body has launched a fresh defence over its handling of the affair.

Opposition politicians point out that there has still been no apology. Read the latest here

On the election front, Deputy Political Editor David Bol watched the Question Time special last night so you did not have to, and shares his thoughts on how the leaders performed here Spoiler alert: The PM 'looked pretty fed up'

Football writer Alan Pattullo meanwhile considers Steve Clarke and the Art of the Recovery. As thoughts turn to the final group game against Hungary on Sunday, Alan writes "at a time when so many were writing him off, he put on his game face and continued to do what he always does in such times of near crisis".

I hope you have a great end to the week

Alan
