Create Display Shelves Above Windows

Some time ago someone posted an idea to use shelves over windows. I had commented that I did the same thing only I used wooden door gingerbread trim to make the side brackets so that I could hang my curtain rods through them.

To store cookies cutters, loop a pipe cleaner through the set and twist the ends together to secure. You can hang on a nail or hook up out of the way.

This is a Depression glass Hobnail cookie jar. I either lost or broke the lid. To make it still useful I use it by the stove as a utensil holder.

An old wicker shelf, a large cup-hook and some plastic bins help to organize all the miscellaneous "stuff" that winds up in the kitchen. Then distribute items once a day to their "proper" homes!
