| World | | US gov’t concerned over UN resolution omitting Jewish ties to Temple Mount | | The United States has raised "serious concern" over a resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly that refers to Judaism's most holy site, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, by only its Muslim name, al-Haram al-Sharif. The "Jerusalem resolution," which is part of what is known as the "Palestinian Package," passed last week with as many as 129 countries voting in favor of it, while 11 voted against it and 31 abstained. |

| World | | EU scraps guidelines advising Christmas be replaced with 'holiday times' | | The executive branch of the European Union has withdrawn its “guidelines for inclusive communication” approximately one month after it was issued. The guidelines recommended that European Commission officials “update” the language they use by replacing the word “Christmas” with “holiday times" and avoiding “gendered” words, as well as "Christian names" to avoid giving the impression of "intolerance or judgment." Antonio Tajani, former president of the European Parliament, was among those who pushed back on the guidelines, tweeting, "Inclusion does not mean denying the Christian roots of the #EU." |

Dobbs. v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which the Supreme Court heard on December 1, could overturn Roe and return the issue of abortion back to the states.
