South Dakota’s Republican Gov. Kristi Noem has introduced a bill that would allow students in public schools to pray every morning at school if they so choose despite pushback from secular groups to similar bills in other states. "Every student deserves the opportunity to begin their day with a calm, silent moment," Noem said of the move.
The city of Magnolia, Texas, has reached a settlement with three churches in which the local government agreed to modify its water rate system that previously charged houses of worship a higher rate than area businesses. The Texan reports that the three churches dropped their suit in response to city officials agreeing to treat houses of worship and businesses equally when charging for water use.
New research from the Pew Research Center has found that 45 percent of U.S. adult respondents pray daily compared to 58 percent of respondents in 2007. The study also delved into church attendance habits and how Americans describe their religious affiliation. Click the image to learn more about this research and the rise of secularism in the U.S.
First lady Jill Biden traveled to Wisconsin on Wednesday to visit the families of those hurt and killed in the Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy that resulted in six deaths and around 60 injuries. A conservative pro-family group is accusing Twitter of wrongfully suspending one of its leaders after he posted a tweet denouncing the “surgical mutilation of minors suffering from gender dysphoria.” Jon Schweppe, director of policy and government affairs with the American Principles Project, reportedly had his Twitter account suspended over the tweet posted on Tuesday, with the platform accusing him of engaging in “hateful conduct.”
Joe Rogan, who has the number one most-listened-to podcast in the United States, remarked in a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" that actor Chris Pratt faces poor treatment in Hollywood because of his faith. "He’s kind of outside of the lines in terms of his ideology. He’s a Christian and pretty open about it. Because of that, they attack him. It’s something so simple, like, he just believes in Jesus and he … likes to be a good person," Rogan remarked. Click the image to listen to his remarks (offensive language warning).

Defend Free Speech

Activists and government officials are taking brash actions to indoctrinate the next generation in critical race and gender theories.

But in Virginia, they’re being challenged by three brave teachers who are standing for truth.

The Loudoun County School Board passed a new policy that forces teachers and students to affirm gender identity ideology by using pronouns demanded by students, no matter their biological sex.

This is blatantly unconstitutional. The government cannot FORCE Americans to support ideologies with which they disagree.

These teachers are risking their livelihoods to stand up to their school board and draw the line for freedom and for truth.

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys have filed a lawsuit on their behalf. As a nonprofit, we provide our legal services without charging a dime — all the way to the Supreme Court, if needed.

Will you help fuel our stand for freedom by donating whatever you can today? Those who stand for freedom should never have to stand alone.

“Freedom—of speech and religious exercise—includes the freedom not to speak messages against our core beliefs.” – ADF Senior Counsel Tyson Langhofer
