More than 1,200 new coronavirus cases The latest Covid-19 figures have been announced. A further 1,212 cases have been confirmed and 45 new deaths recorded in the last 24 hours. It's a slight drop since yesterday, when there was the highest death toll announced since back in May. The Scottish Government hopes to publish the latest R number in the country - which is expected to be 'hovering around one', according to First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. 'Very real risk' of Covid vaccine conspiracy theorists There is a 'very real risk' of people believing in conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 vaccine, the First Minister said today. But Nicola Sturgeon said at FMQs the Scottish Government would make all information about the new vaccine readily available.
