Nearly a decade ago, the state shuttered the Jetson Center for Youth, saying it wasn't suitable for use as a juvenile prison. Now, there's talk about using it to house youths again. While the center is being used to temporarily house female state prisoners, recent trouble in the juvenile justice system has led to discussions that perhaps youth could be held there again. A federal judge has rejected claims from a former LSU athletic department official that the school violated federal racketeering statutes. Sharon Lewis says she was retaliated against after trying to report that former football coach Les Miles was sexually harassing students.
