NATIONAL:Freeman announced that Cameron Geiger has joined the company as executive vice president of business operations and digital transformation to lead its supply chain, digital transformation, and sales enablement teams. The newly created executive leadership role will drive the organization’s global supply chain and sourcing, as well as architect the systems and process required for digital transformation. Geiger joins Freeman with more than 30 years of experience in operations, supply chain, and technology roles in global organizations, including TriMark and Walmart.
ATLANTA: Nobu Hotel Atlanta, opening this fall, has launched its website and is now accepting room reservations. Leisure and business travelers, along with locals seeking a new staycation spot, are invited to experience Nobu’s first hotel and restaurant in Georgia as the property makes its debut in Buckhead at the modern, mixed-use development, One Phipps Plaza. BOSTON: This week, MGM Music Hall at Fenway formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new, state-of-the-art performing arts center located at 2 Lansdowne St. The venue’s address is at the corner of Lansdowne Street and Ipswich Street, immediately behind Fenway Park. The 91,500-square-foot venue accommodates up to 5,000 guests in an intimate setting with versatile seating options, including removable seats on the floor of the main hall to create a general admission area for certain events. The exterior architecture of MGM Music Hall at Fenway has been designed to reflect its connection to Fenway Park and the surrounding historic neighborhood, while incorporating signature elements inspired by iconic theaters and music venues.
MIAMI: The recently renovated Miami Beach Convention Center is offering the "Full Day Meeting Package"—valid now through Dec. 30—for the following 2023 event months: July, August, and September. SAN FRANCISCO:San Francisco Travel Association announced that Lynn Bruni-Perkins has been promoted to executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the organization. Prior to her appointment, Bruni-Perkins had been serving as interim chief marketing officer and senior vice president of global marketing communications. Bruni-Perkins has been a key part of San Francisco Travel’s marketing division for more than 15 years, starting as director of consumer marketing. In this new role, her responsibilities will encompass global marketing, public and media relations, global partnerships, and arts marketing. She will also serve as the creative voice and brand steward for San Francisco Travel.
