Finally, some good news. The reinforcements are coming for the Saints. On the roster. On the sideline. In the coaches' booth. The Saints welcomed back some key members of their defense to practice on Thursday, their final one in Dallas before they fly to Boston on Friday. Amie Just reports that three players were upgraded from limited to full participation. And the good news didn't stop there. Amie reports four Saints coaches were cleared from the Covid list and returned to practice. Four more remain sidelined by league protocols. The Saints are going to need all the healthy bodies they can to knock off the Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots have the best home record in the NFL since 2008 at 86-17. Both the Saints and Patriots are 1-1 so who has the edge? Amie Just analyzes the key matchups in in the game between two of the league's winningest franchises of the past decade. And finally, Saints defensive end Cam Jordan said NFL defenders are seeing red with the way the game is being officiated these days. The multi-time Pro Bowler is not happy, but laments, "It is what it is," via our own Luke Johnson. That'll do it for the report from Thursday. Make sure to check back throughout the day today and over the weekend as we get you ready for kickoff on Sunday. And, as always, thanks for being a loyal subscriber. Until next time, Jeff Duncan |
