Good evening

How are you coping with lockdown?

It’s safe to say that none of us have experienced anything like this before, so it certainly takes a bit of getting used to.

The past few weeks have seen plenty of sobering news - from the number of cases and deaths at home and abroad to the lack of protective equipment for our health and social care workers.

And yet, there is also plenty to give us heart and make us smile. There is the huge number of amazing acts of kindness and fund-raising being done throughout our community, from small children to people long-retired.

Then there are all the virtual quizzes, dances and other get-togethers which are taking place every minute of every day somewhere in the world via the internet.

In the past many of us may have seen our reliance on technology as worrying. But where would we be without it now?

During these often dark times, it is a gateway to another, less terrifying, world.

We hope we are doing our bit to keep you informed - and entertained - in lockdown.

Until next time, stay safe everyone.
