It was simple. Test, test, test. To date, as a country we have been lagging behind others in our approach to this. That may not be surprising, given that every country in the world has been looking to purchase millions of reliable tests and there are only so many to go round. The Government has pledged to ramp up - 100,000 a day by the end of this month - and then look to increase that further. Now 20,000 households are also being asked to take part in a remote testing scheme to assess the spread outside of hospitals. If you get one of these, make sure you participate because testing really is the only way out of lockdown in the long run. In the meantime, stay safe Gillian Parkinson Editor | |
