Good evening everyone,

Things are beginning to take a turn for the better with Nicola Sturgeon announcing a "road map" will be laid out on Thursday for how lockdown measures will be eased.

But please remember that this does not end lockdown immediately, so continue to follow the guidelines in the meantime.

Even though you may not consider yourself someone in danger of becoming seriously ill from Covid-19, by continuing to practise social-distancing you are helping to keep others safe and the NHS from becoming overwhelmed.

Here are today's headlines:

  • The First Minister has said a 'route map’ for lifting lockdown will be published on Thursday - including a phased return to school and guidance to key industries.
  • The Scottish Government has issued an update to the main coronavirus symptoms that now include a loss or change in smell or taste.
  • Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed that 14,594 people in Scotland have now tested positive for Covid-19 - an increase of 57 from yesterday.
  • Golf courses in Scotland are unlikely to reopen before the beginning of June after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the next review of lockdown restrictions would not be made for another 10 days.
  • The SPFL have crowned Celtic as Scottish Premiership champions. The board met on a Zoom call this morning to ratify the conclusion of the 2019/2020 top-flight season. It means Hearts have been relegated to the Championship.
