USDA surprised the market with planting intentions of just more than 91.1 million acres, which would be a rather modest 325,000-acre gain from 2020. Assuming a favorable planting season, we expect final corn acres will exceed USDA’s March intentions. Our 2021-22 balance sheet factors in corn plantings of 92.25 million acres. Even higher plantings can’t to be ruled out. . .
