At Magny-Cours Alfonso Coppola (SK Racing Team) crossed the line in second to record his sixth podium of the season and become the inaugural Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Challenge winner. The reward earnt by the 20-year-old Italian is an official Yamaha supported ride in a higher class in 2018 but first, he has the small matter of fighting for the WorldSSP300 Championship at the final round of the season in Jerez on the 20th-22nd October to contend with.
