CONTRIBUTION INVITATION | To The Design Of The VIETNAM NATIONAL TRADE REPOSITORY (VNTR)!
The UK’s Global Trade Programme (GTP) is supporting the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) to develop a Viet Nam National Trade Repository (VNTR). This will be a free-to-access online information platform that provides all the latest trade regulations and information that businesses need to export and import to and from Vietnam. Some of the benefits of having a fully functional VNTR will include:
Helping businesses, like yours, to comply with current legislation and regulations on trade, and keeping you informed of new trade-related developments and opportunities.Helping Viet Nam fully integrate into the international economic community.Meeting Viet Nam’s trade-related commitments as a member of ASEAN.Supporting efforts to increase trade to and from Viet Nam, and helping businesses of all types, sizes and ownership profiles to access trade information so that they can grow and flourish.Helping in Viet Nam’s economic recovery after COVID-19 and contribute to the country’s post-pandemic economic growth trajectory.
The VNTR is scheduled to go live later this year. In order to gather information about current practices and challenges when it comes to accessing information on trade with Viet Nam, we would like to take this opportunity to conduct a short survey questionnaire among business stakeholders currently trading or hoping to trade with Viet Nam. We are hoping to evaluate responses by end of June 2021. Following this, the VNTR team will be organising a series of focus discussions in June and July, which will provide further opportunities for feeding into the design of the VNTR.
