The "America Newsroom" report from correspondent Bryan Llenas featured Ryland Whittington, a trans-identified 14-year-old girl living in California. The report presented a favorable perspective on allowing children to transition, with Llenas claiming, "People are afraid of what they do not understand." Conservative blogger and political commentator Matt Walsh, who regularly appears on Fox News and recently spearheaded a documentary about gender ideology, slammed the network for airing a report painting the gender transition of a minor in a positive light. "We have to call out this evil lunacy wherever we see it. Especially on our own side," he wrote in a Twitter thread Friday. "The reporter says that the child announced a new gender as a toddler. Does Fox want us to believe that BABIES can choose their gender?" Ben Shapiro, the editor emeritus of The Daily Wire and host of "The Ben Shapiro Show," also took to Twitter to call out the network, tweeting, "This would be absolute despicable lunacy if I saw it on CNN or MSNBC. To see it on Fox News is a complete betrayal of anything remotely resembling conservatism or decency." | Abortion activists continue protests at justices’ homes after man arrested for assassination plot | | The pro-abortion group Ruth Sent Us has scheduled protests outside the homes of six Republican-appointed justices every week ahead of an impending decision in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which could overturn Roe v. Wade. The protests take place five days a week, with demonstrators starting to arrive at public locations like nearby shopping centers or schools at 6:30 p.m. ET. From there, they either march or carpool to the justices' homes starting at 7:00 p.m. ET. An assassination attempt against Justice Brett Kavanaugh was foiled last week after the suspect confessed his intentions before carrying out a plot on the justice's home. According to 18 U.S.C. 1507, which relates to obstruction of justice, anyone who has the intent of "interfering with, obstructing, or impeding the administration of justice, or with the intent of influencing any judge, juror, witness, or court officer" and pickets or parades in or near a court building or residents "occupied or used by such judge, juror, witness or court officer" will face a fine or imprisonment of one year. Women in their 40s and married women tended to be the most informed regarding adoption. | U.K. court says hospital can take boy off life support despite parents’ religious objections | | Justice Emma Arbuthnot issued a judgment in the United Kingdom on Monday allowing medical professionals at Royal London Hospital to end life support for Archie Battersbee, who suffered a severe brain injury in April. The judge stated, "It is not in dispute that Archie lacks capacity to consent to or refuse medical treatment. In the circumstances where the parents do not agree with the Trust, it falls to the Court to decide what is in Archie's best interests." The boy’s parents have passionately objected for personal and religious reasons, with Battersbee's mother, Hollie Dance, saying, "Until it's God's way I won't accept he should go. I know of miracles when people have come back from being brain dead. I do not believe Archie has been given enough time. From the beginning, I have always thought, 'why the rush?' His heart is still beating, he has gripped my hand, and as his mother, I know he is still in there." Dance, who is being represented by Christian Legal Centre, intends to appeal the decision.
