Dear John,

Connection

As a unique and beloved center for retreat, renewal, healing, fun and learning, Harbin has long offered our guests an abundance of blessings. Perhaps the most profound – especially in these disturbingly fractious times – has been our dedication to offering facilities and programs that help people connect. Connect with nature, themselves, each other, and all of spirit.  Providing a supportive space where you can be vulnerable and connect from your heart: that’s what Harbin has always been about. And in the 14 months that Harbin has been closed, it’s a service that many, many people have sorely missed.

To Support Harbin’s Reopening

We’ve made good progress in rebuilding. As you can see from the photo above, the mainside pools and surrounding area are largely rebuilt, with considerable progress with our water system, electric and sewer, with decking, landscaping, and more to follow. Due to expansions in permitting requirements and early wet weather there have been delays in our reopening date. We won’t be open by New Year’s. However, recently there has been great news – we just received all the required permits from the county,  if all goes well – we’re expecting to reopen our pools and camping in mid to late spring. This also means Harbin will have had over a year-and-a-half of ongoing operations and rebuilding without its main source of income.

So many Harbin visitors and friends have gone out of their way to connect with us, offer their support, and ask, “How Can We Help You Right Now?” The answer is, financially. We need your ongoing financial support. Please consider donating, and click on the link above.

With gratitude, from our hearts to yours.
