In-Person Art Buzz Johnson's Simple Sketching Kit with Anne Brennan Saturday, April 17, 11 AM-1:30 PM CAM Members: $38; Non-Members: $48 Tour the grounds at CAM and discover the native plants and blossoms in the courtyard. Anne will discuss the techniques used by Robert Johnson, including his painting methods and color chart. Art Buzz is a fun art class that combines art-making and eating and drinking. Exhibition Just Us Art Show LAST WEEK - On View Until Sunday, April 18 Enjoy an installation of art works by students who participated in the Just Us program, a partnership between Cameron Art Museum, New Hanover County Schools, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the Resiliency Task Force of New Hanover County, the Harrelson Center, Dreams Center for Arts Education, and Brigade Boys and Girls Club, Thursday, April 1 – Sunday, April 18 in the reception hall. Virtual Design NC 2021 Modernism to Maximalism: Form and Function Reimagined Thursday, April 29 and Friday, April 30 Inspiration comes in all forms: modernist and maximalist, interiors and exteriors, in person and virtually! Join Design NC and the Cameron Art Museum on April 29th and April 30th as we live stream presentations from influential and renowned interior designers Thom Filicia and Celerie Kemble along with modernist architect Robert Gurney and ornamental and architectural plaster craftsman Foster Reeve. This year’s conversations will be set in a virtual forum where participants will enjoy live discussions on these varying design aesthetics as we explore how they differ and how they might be the same. | |
