The GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team enjoyed an excellent Saturday at the Lausitzring for round eight of the 2017 FIM Supersport World Championship. Federico Caricasulo managed to secure his third front row start of the season and he will line up on the grid in second for Sunday's race. His teammate, championship leader Lucas Mahias, put in another strong performance and will start the race from the second row in sixth. To cap off an excellent day for Yamaha, the Japanese manufacturer completed a front-row lockout, with Kallio Racing's Sheridan Morais on pole and his teammate Nicki Tuuli in third.
