Your WHY is more important than the HOW. Dear John, One of the things I’ve always enjoyed is sharing information with a group of people from the front of the room. This is partially ego driven but it stems from the desire to deliver value to as many people as possible at one time. I speak to audiences ranging in numbers from 20 people to 2,000 people, about 40-50 times each year. The information I share is valuable and, in many cases, it changes the way people look at their business. I receive great personal satisfaction from this. I’m not a motivational speaker. I am a motivated speaker. I am fired up about sharing positive, actionable information with a group of people who want to receive it. Often people call me looking to book a “motivational” speaker. They mistake the passion I have for my business for the ability to motivate people to act. I can’t do that. Nobody can motivate you. Your desire to solve a problem or achieve a goal is what motivates you. I’m the “how to” guy who provides you with the shortcuts to achieving the desired outcome. So, here’s the question I have for you this fine Monday morning (yeah, I know this is the Sunday Summary but circumstances entirely within my control prevented me from getting this email out yesterday): What is your motivation? Why is the outcome you desire so important to you? Your WHY is more important than the HOW. I can help you with the HOW but the WHY you must bring to the table. Think about that, hit reply, and let me know. Have a great week! Regards, Dave Lorenzo Oh! I almost forgot: Here’s your video of the week (click the link): The Business You Are Really In I recorded this to help you break through the peaks and valleys in your business and life. Remember, nothing happens until somebody sells something. |
