Comfort CLE’s owner waves flag for Cleveland Cleveland Heights High School graduate Jeremy McBryde was living in Los Angeles just a few years ago, doing pop-ups, catering for Lebron James, Kevin Hart and other celebrities, working as a judge on “Food Network” shows like “Beachside Brawl” and “Supermarket Stakeout and running a community-minded restaurant in city’s downtrodden Skid Row neighborhood. Now, he’s back in Cleveland pursuing a different sort of culinary dream at Comfort CLE, a restaurant in a new community-based development at 1400 E. 105th St., near the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. OPENINGS/CLOSINGS Urban Meyer’s Pint House set to go into Cleveland’s ‘best billboard’ location Target opening is late summer 2025 for Northeast Ohio’s first Urban Meyer’s Pint House, which will be in the old Winking Lizard space at 811 Huron Road, caddy corner from the spacious shared patio at The Clevelander and AJ Rocco’s, and the intersection of Huron, Prospect Avenue and East 9th Street. That’s a lively Gateway District corner when there are games and concerts going on, with an outdoor bar set up and foot and auto traffic swirling by in all directions. The Lizard closed in 2021. The original Urban Meyer’s Pint House in Dublin opened several years ago. Cleveland-based Saucy Brew Works acquired it this year.
