Ohio River Bridges Project: the Exhibition
The new bridges are more than a huge investment in our region’s infrastructure; they represent thousands of careers in STEM fields. Kentucky Science Center’s new Ohio River Bridges Project: the Exhibition is a hands-on chance to explore the science, technology, math, and engineering behind the huge science project that is right in our own backyard.
Control the speed of construction yourself with a time-lapse video of the bridges being built
Adjust the compression and tension on a 12-foot scale replica of a cable-stayed bridge and then (carefully) drive your toy car across it
Listen to short interviews with 18 professionals – from engineers and project managers to environmentalists and financial analysts – as they discuss their role in the project and what attracted them to that career
