For over fifty years CHAC has celebrated Dia de Los Muertos and helped pave the way for the abundance of Dia de Los Muertos celebrations state-wide. Dia de Los Muertos is an ancient Mexican custom that honors loved ones who have passed on and all the traditions that they gave us. “Dia de Los Muertos” is a special time to build and celebrate community and all the elders that paved the way for the abundance that we have now” Renee Fajardo CHAC Board Chair. As we build our altars, eat Pan de Muertos, decorate calaveras, and celebrate together we create a space filled with love and kindness; tradition says that at this time our loved ones who have crossed over are able to visit and celebrate with us. “We are all a part of this cosmic journey; we can not have one without the other. Life follows death, just as sunrise follows sunset,” Sonia Del Real, show statement. Read below to learn more about upcoming events and our featured CHAC artist of the month! |
