Are racial equity equity pledges being kept?

Today, Baltimore-based apparel brand Under Armour shared an update on its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. In July 2020, the company made commitments to improve BIPOC representation and succession amid protests in the wake of George Floyd's death.

The numbers the company shared show gains:

BIPOC teammates in the U.S. at Director and above levels increased from 20% to 22% Black teammates in the U.S. at Director and above levels increased from 7% to 8% BIPOC leadership successors increased from 17% to 22% Black leadership successors increased from 8% to 11%
