You can make several nice universal greeting cards from magazines! I am not sure why I did not think about this sooner. I received this Better Homes & Gardens July 2018 magazine in the mail. After reading the magazine I skimmed through the pages and found themes for greeting cards I could make.

By tiffanytallent1981
As someone who enjoys completing craft projects, I have accumulated tons of confetti over the years. Up until recently, I stored it all in baggies. Then someone gave me a medium size utility box and I found that it was a perfect fit for sorting all of my confetti.

I bought a pack of star patterned napkins last year at an Independence Day sale for 20 cents and saved them for crafting purposes. Here, I've used them to decoupage an old, worn flower pot to give it new life. Filled with red flowers, it makes a nice centerpiece for the 4th of July.

These are cheap and cheerful decorative pieces just in time for 4th of July. I used a colourful assortment pack of zip ties I got at the Dollar store, along with some pipe cleaners, to make these fun dimensional bursts of colour. This is an excellent all-ages craft!

My son had to make painted rocks for a project in his high school art class this year. He chose to do a design that incorporated 3 rocks. I am in love with these cherry blossom rocks and am so glad that he let me display them in the yard!

As I decided to dispose of my old stuff, I saw this cute mini dress I used to wear back in high school. I remember wearing this after college graduation at a family pool party. That was actually the last time it served me.

With some Americana yarn colors, buttons, paperboard, and glue you can make this fun flag. It was inspired by one made with fabric yo-yos, but thought I could make them with little circles of yarn.

I saw something like this on line, but I made my own. I had to improvise because I didn't buy enough of two colors, but I think it came out pretty cute anyway.

I love painted flowerpots, and I think in the spring they make a fun statement. One of the most popular outdoor motifs is watermelon. I have watermelon cups, plates, and pitchers, so I decided that I wanted to make watermelon flowerpots to match.

Garden Tags from Aluminum Roof Flashing
By Gina
You can make garden tags out of leftover aluminum roof flashing (the kind on a roll). I took a simple tag design that I drew, printed it out on heavy paper, and cut it out. I took that template and a Sharpie and traced that design onto the flashing metal multiple times.
