| Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the updated State Guide to CMS Criteria for Medicaid Managed Care Contract Review and Approval. The guide is being updated to incorporate changes to the Medicaid managed care regulations that are occurring as a result of the 2020 Managed Care final rule. The updated guide includes final rule revisions pertaining to pass-through payments, state-directed payments, network adequacy standards, risk sharing mechanisms, appeals and grievances and requirements for beneficiary information.
