Deadline: 6 December 2024 The Great Britain mandatory classification and labelling (GB MCL) process includes the consideration of information gathered from public consultations, conducted by HSE or international bodies such as the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). HSE has published public consultations on the following proposals for GB MCLs: N-carboxymethyliminobis (ethylenenitrilo)tetra(acetic acid) (DTPA) and its pentasodium and pentapotassium salts (EC Number: 200-652-8; 404-290-3; 205-391-3; CAS Number: 67-43-6; 7216-95-7; 140-01-2) Silanamine, 1,1,1-trimethyl-N-(trimethylsilyl)-, hydrolysis products with silica; (EC Number: 272-697-1; CAS Number: 68909-20-6) 2-butoxyethanol; ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (EGBE): (EC Number: 203-905-0; CAS Number: 111-76-2) Scientific or technical information and/or wider policy and impact considerations should be submitted using the HSE commenting webform by 6 December 2024. Comments will be published on HSE's website. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to share it with HSE. Relevant information includes scientific or technical information relating to the proposed classification, as well as information on the potential impacts of the classification (positive and negative). If your business is affected by the GB CLP Regulation, please consider if you are likely to be affected by any of the classification and labelling proposals and submit information if you anticipate any significant impacts or benefits. For further information on what to submit during the public consultation, please visit the GB MCL webpages on the HSE website. Under the GB CLP Regulation, HSE will consider all public consultation submissions before publishing Agency Technical Reports and Agency Opinions, so any information you provide will be important in any final GB MCL decision. The next batch of 4 GB MCL Agency Opinions are now available for download A GB MCL Agency Opinion formally proposes the GB MCL for chemical substances, based on the scientific and technical assessment of the scientific data in line with the GB CLP Regulation, together with an assessment of the policy and socio-economic impacts on the UK. It sets out whether there is adequate scientific evidence to support a new or revised GB MCL of a substance and what the potential impact of the proposed GB MCL may be. Download the Agency Opinions These GB MCL Agency Opinions relate to substances for which HSE (as the GB CLP Agency) published an Agency Technical Report under Article 37 of the GB CLP Regulation in September 2023 and under Article 37A in March 2024. At the time of publication, the classification and labelling proposed in this Agency Opinion has not been agreed and/or adopted in GB. Visit HSEâs website for information on the next steps in the process We expect to publish our next batch of Agency Opinions in November 2024. CLP ebulletin alerts will be issued when Agency Opinions are published on the HSE website.
