| | | | | Learn more about the speakers: | | | Cheryl Ericson, MS, RN, CCDS, CDIP, manager of clinical documentation services at DHG Healthcare, has more than 15 years of CDI experience and is recognized as a CDI subject matter expert for her body of work, which includes many speaking engagements and publications for a variety of industry associations, including AHIMA practice briefs and ACDIS white papers. She previously served as the CDI education director for HCPro and associate director of education for ACDIS. She is a former ACDIS Advisory Board member and currently serves as the chair-elect for the CDI Practice Guidelines committee. She is also a member of the AHIMA CDI Task Force.
Michelle Wieczorek, RN, RHIT, CPHQ, senior manager of clinical documentation services at DHG Healthcare, has over 30 years of experience in healthcare. She has served in leadership roles in clinical nursing, health information management, utilization review, clinical quality, and information technology. She has extensive experience in software development and IT product management, including holding a U.S. patent in natural language processing rules logic as a result of her work in developing a CDI software program with a national IT vendor. Her most recent experience has been leading teams in CDI and clinical revenue cycle consulting, including developing best-practice CDI approaches and methodologies. She serves on the AHIMA CDI Task Force and was the 2016 PHIMA Distinguished Member recipient. | | |
