Yet, cities are becoming hotter and hotter amid climate change. Solutions for the city of the future are being developed at the Helmholtz Center Hereon in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Gaby Langendijk, a research associate at the Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS), outlines Hamburg's progress towards a smart and climate-resilient city and reveals how everyone can contribute to a climate-neutrality.
