Hello from our new Grassroots Climate Action Organizer!
Sierra Club Main Chapter Climate Action Teams
Hello voornaam,

My name is Ania Wright, and I joined the Sierra Club Maine Chapter this month as the Grassroots Climate Action Organizer! In my new role, I will be working with the Climate Action Teams to organize climate action across the state. I will also be working to engage and support young people, marginalized, and at risk communities in climate action work.

A bit about me - I am a recent graduate of College of the Atlantic, where I studied Human Ecology, Environmental Law and Policy, and Climate Justice. I have been working with other young people in the State of Maine for the past two years to promote climate justice centered solutions for our state. I am also currently serving as the Youth Representative to the Maine Climate Council, where I am helping to write Maine's next Climate Action Plan. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in Acadia National Park and gardening.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you in the next few weeks and months. It will be over Zoom and the phone for now, but eventually in person! I have already been inspired by the CAT's past and current work, and look forward to supporting you in any way I can. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any point with questions, concerns, or needs you have.

I will be reaching out to individual CATs in the next few weeks to meet and talk about each team's vision, goals, and concerns. I am available to support climate action initiatives for current teams, and for other communities and individuals that need support. If you would like to set up a one on one meeting with me, or know of communities or people who need support, please send me an email.
