Connecting Climate and Infrastructure Experts to Local Governments Local governments can now access the Climate Ready Infrastructure Service (CRIS) expert-matching service. Local governments with populations of around 30,000 or less are encouraged to register in the first round of intakes, now open. CRIS is a new service that connects local governments and communities to Canada’s leading experts in climate change, infrastructure and municipal adaptation, with a goal of supporting the integration of low-carbon resilience into infrastructure projects. Participants will gain access to specialized expertise, decision-making support, and capacity-building opportunities tailored to their needs. Through expert guidance and technical advice, local governments will receive the tools needed to better serve their communities, reduce emissions, and meet the challenges of climate change head-on.
