Injurious oak tree draws lawsuit: The family of the child injured by a falling tree limb in Jackson Square plans to sue the city. Obstruction charges tossed: A state judge on Monday threw out obstruction of justice charges against two former Louisiana state troopers over their alleged involvement in the 2019 death of Black motorist Ronald Greene. The judge ordered prosecutors to fix issues raised in the charges against the three other officers. The news was deeply disappointing for Greene's family.
