Digital Displays and Signage are Mainstays

Circuit Cellar fans, lets talk about the way digital signage has become

the most important tool of the retail world. We all need things, cars, food, and devices, to make our lives work. Until the pandemic hit there was a decline in the retail space, due to the ease and convenience offered by the online retail experience.

After the pandemic, retail had a bit of a comeback, but not quite. People want to shop, in-person but have the convenience of the online experience.

Digital signs were a natural way to interact with customers, in restaurants and stores, they could now be used in combination with retail, to say, order a different color of a shirt that we like. Presto!

Meet the retail digital media player on steroids. Order online from inside the store.

See the quality of the product firsthand, then order the style or color you like. The future? Perhaps. Forbes is not convinced, but the retailers are. There media kiosks are being used in many stores, and thousands of retailers are hoping onboard. It's a brave world that can shop online and in person at the same time.

Keep an eye on this space for more.
