By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor Good morning, Acadiana. Let's get going with your business headlines of the day. We've got more Chick-fil-A news for you this morning as city officials in Opelousas along with the St. Landry Economic Development office are making efforts to bring the popular fast-food restaurant to the city near the U.S. 190 exit along Interstate 49. It's another step in developing that area into a commercial corridor, SLED director Bill Rodier says, with other businesses either planned or are in negotiations for lots along the service road south of U.S. 190. Chick-fil-A has not purchased the land but hopes to do so early next year and possibly break ground in March, Rodier said. You can read the story here. Have a great day and see you back here Friday morning. |
