He’s alive!? Tupac Shakur found in Kentucky, called-out by governor It’s an understatement to say the unemployment process during COVID-19 has been less than stellar. Millions of people are still waiting on approval, with bills and rent piling up in the meantime. But one governor, Andy Beshear of Kentucky, believes that pranksters may be one of the reasons the application process is moving so slowly. In a press briefing, Beshear specifically mentioned finding an application filed under the name of Tupac Shakur, the famous rapper who was killed in 1996 in a drive-by shooting. Well, not only is Tupac alive and well, he’s not even the same person as the rapper. Mr. Tupac Malik Shakur, who simply goes by “Malik,” is a cook living in Lexington who has fallen into hard times in light of the recent pandemic. As embarrassing as this story is, it does have a happy ending. The Kentucky government realized its mistake, and Governor Beshear personally called Mr. Shakur to apologize. The state is now working to resolve his claim, and Mr. Shakur says he’s forgiven the governor for the callout. Only in 2020… The only thing worse than this is having a doppelganger that’s still alive and looks just like you! Tap or click here to see two complete strangers that look exactly the same. → |
