Check, Please! Bay Area is looking for new kid stars!

We're writing to let you know we're accepting applications again for a new season of Check, Please! Bay Area Kids!

We're looking for articulate and passionate foodies between the ages of 10 and 14 years old to join our host Leslie Sbrocco at our studios. If you know a child who simply cannot stop gushing about the last meal they enjoyed at their prized local eatery, restaurant, cafe, diner, lunch cafe, hole-in-the-wall, food truck, etc.—send them our way!

Today, casting officially opens today at kqed.org/checkplease. Slots are limited and applications will be accepted through September 30. In addition to completing an application, kids and their parent/guardian must be willing to travel to either San Jose or San Rafael for an in-person interview sometime in October, and must be available to travel to San Rafael for the taping of the shows in January. Kids and their parent/guardian must be able to travel to three eateries within a 50 mile radius of San Francisco.
