Joseph Todorovitch grew up in southern California where he earned a BFA and has continued studying and teaching in the L.A. area ateliers for the past 20 years. A contemporary painter, he is immersed in figurative subject matter and explores painting through the lens of a naturalist perspective technical narrative, along with implied psychological narratives in his paintings.
His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the country and Internationally and he has been awarded the Draper Grand Prize by the Portrait Society of America. He is currently an instructor with Laguna College of Art and Design, and associated with Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art. Todorovitch is represented by Maxwell Alexander Gallery in Los Angeles California.
