Dear John,
Everything can change for you, for the better, in a short time.
When I started my business I wrote articles, posted them on my website, and waited.
Nothing happened.
After about 6 months and going through 2/3 of my savings, I decided to make some radical changes to my business development approach.
Using the painful trial and error method, I learned what it took to develop a six-figure business as a sole practitioner.
Then, a few years later, I wanted to break through another revenue plateau so I overhauled everything again.
I stopped trying to convince people to hire me.
Yeah, I know, that sounds a little silly coming from a guy who helps people with revenue growth.
Instead of trying to get hired, I focused on developing relationships, delivering value, and presenting people with opportunities to do whatever it is they do best.
That's when my business took off.
You and I have had a relationship for a while so I feel like I can candidly address something with you.
You're not fulfilling your potential.
You can have everything you want, but something is holding you back.
In my experience (over 25 years building businesses and advising business leaders) there are three things that hold people back.
One: Fear
Many people are afraid of failure. They are afraid that if they try something new and it doesn't work out, people will laugh at them.
Even more people are afraid of success. They are afraid that if they make a giant leap in income or in lifestyle they will be ostracized for the group to which they belong.
Both of these fears are subconscious. You don't realize they are holding you back.
The solution is to have someone push you to take action and move you forward. You need someone to hold you accountable.
Two: Lack of Business Development Capability
Each day I see people throwing away money on stupid ideas. Why on earth would anyone plaster their face on the side of a bus or on a billboard. Why would you pay to be included in Greatest Trial Lawyers of America or any type of Who's Who?
I see beautiful websites with auto-start videos highlighting people standing and cheering you as you speak.
I chuckle as you get up early each week and have a stale bagel and cold coffee with the same people who have not referred you any business in the past year.
Why do you do this?
Because you're confused and you don't know what else to do. You're out of ideas.
The answer is to work with someone who can help you continuously improve your business development capability. School is never out for the professional.
Three: No Clarity
What does success look like for you?
You don't know.
You "just want an additional $10,000 or $50,000 or $100,000 per month" and if you have that everything will be fine.
No it won't.
Money only amplifies.
Money makes you more of what you are.
If you're an asshole, money will make you even more of an asshole.
The key is to design the life you want and live it before you have any money. Then when you finances explode you have more of what you're seeking.
Alan Weiss, my mentor, says: "true wealth is discretionary time." I agree but I take it a step further.
True wealth is being able to pursue your purpose.
Your business should enable you to pursue your passion.
You need to have someone with whom you can have candid conversations. Someone who will tell you the truth regardless of the consequences.
I am the answer to all three of these issues you face.
During the past ten years I've offered a private mentor experience. We work together for six months and you receive unlimited access to me. I help you with the things listed above along with any other issue you have in your firm.
I provide you with confidence to help you get through the fear. I provide you with business development capability to help you grow and I help you gain clarity into your purpose.
I will be discontinuing this experience at the end of this month. There will be new offerings with new experiences but this will be the last chance for you to work with me on an unlimited basis. Why? I have a new book coming out this summer and I'm growing and expanding.
The good news is that anyone who signs up now will be grandfathered and will be able to participate in this mentor program as long as you'd like.

The investment is $4,500 for six months of unlimited access to me.
This investment is easily recouped through the acquisition of one new client.
Remember, once this ends, it ends forever.
You deserve to fulfill your potential.
Warm regards,
Dave
I value and appreciate the relationship we have.
