| | | Lace up your sneakers for the Bibra Lake Fun Run! Get ready to lace up your sneakers because the iconic Bibra Lake Fun Run is back for 2024! Date: Sunday 8 September Time: 8am warm-up, race begins at 8.30am Location - corner of Gwilliam and Progress Drives in Bibra Lake. The Bibra Lake Fun Run is all about fun, fitness, and community. We welcome participants of all ages and fitness levels, offering both 6km and 12km courses around beautiful Bibra Lake. Whether youâre a runner, walker, wheelchair roller, pram pusher, or have pets on leads, youâre welcome to join! There are cash prizes for each age group, plus the overall winners. If you are not up for a run or stroll, come down for the free sausage sizzle and morningâs entertainment. Get up close to reptiles from WA Wildlife, play curling, check out the Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade trucks, or join staff for some 'Creative Play' for kids aged 0-5. | | Apply now for sport and recreation events funding Local sporting clubs are encouraged to apply for the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) Sport and Recreation Events Funding program. This round of funding supports planning, securing, and delivering sport and mass participation events in Western Australia between January and June 2025. Eligible organisations can receive up to $50,000 for event hosting, $30,000 for the Country Sport Enrichment Scheme, and $15,000 for event projects - just ensure your club is incorporated, has an ABN, and maintains sufficient insurance.
