| Free Club Health Checks - Nominate Now Do you know how your club is really going? Recreation Services is offering ten Cockburn clubs the opportunity to have a free Club Health Check. Provided by CLUBMAP, the Health Checks will be commencing mid-year, providing clubs that take part with an excellent opportunity to identify key areas of concern and undertake actions to address them across the next 12 months, with a follow-up survey to gauge progress. The committee rates the club across a range of topics which are then assessed to create a custom Action Plan to guide your club towards the areas most in need of attention. The Club Health Check comprises a survey of 11 key categories: Operational Categories Revenue Categories Planning Membership Committee Sponsorship Volunteers Fundraising and Fund-saving Finance Digital Communication Governance Grants Sport Operations If your club would like to be considered for one of these health checks, please complete the online Nomination Form . If more than ten clubs wish to participate, a panel will assess all nominations to select ten to go forward. Some clubs may be specifically invited to take part. Perth AFC vs Inglewood - Australia Cup Fourth Round Perth AFC hosted a thrilling day of football on Sunday, April 23rd, at their home ground, Len Packham Park in Coolbellup. The day featured a range of matches, including the Women's State Cup game between Perth AFC and Balcatta, a State U18 Cup game, a State Reserves Cup game, both involving Perth Glory and Inglewood, as well as a men's social game. The Women's State Cup round one match between Perth AFC and Balcatta NPL was a thrilling encounter, with both teams displaying excellent football skills. Although Perth AFC lost 3-1, the scoreline flattered Balcatta. The ladies from Perth AFC put in an outstanding performance, and the crowd appreciated their efforts. The State U18 Cup clash between Perth Glory and Inglewood was a high-scoring affair, with both teams putting in a strong attacking display. Perth Glory came out on top in the end. Meanwhile, the State Reserves Cup game was a closely contested affair, with Inglewood coming out on top with a narrow win. The Australia Cup fourth-round match between Perth AFC's men's first team and Inglewood NPL was the highlight of the day. The Australia Cup is a national cup competition that involves clubs from all over Australia, from grassroots teams to A-League sides. Despite their best efforts, Perth AFC was unable to match the quality of the opposition who were five divisions higher. Inglewood dominated the game, ultimately winning 5-0. The day was a successful showcase of Perth AFC, and the local community was treated to great football and terrific food and drinks from the canteen. The smashed cheeseburger was the best seller of the day. The enthusiastic turnout from the local area was a testament to the hard work of everyone involved. Overall, it was a great day for Perth AFC, and one that showcased the club's passion and dedication to football. The club's commitment to grassroots football was evident throughout the day, and they are sure to continue to be a strong force in the local football scene for years to come.
