| Dept of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries Grants The DLGSC continues to offer several grant funding opportunities for WA sporting organisations. Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) for the development sustainable sport and recreation infrastructure across WA. Club Night Lights Program to fund sustainable sport floodlighting by funding new or upgrade existing lights. Sport and Recreation Events Funding Program to assist in the planning and delivery of sport and recreation mass participation events. Information on these grants can be found through the links above. If your club wishes to investigate funding from the DLGSC for your facilities, you must contact Recreation Services first to discuss the project, as well as the DLGSC to ensure the project is eligible for funding. Important dates CSRFF Small Grants Round (total project cost up to $300,000) Opens 1 February 2023, closes 31 March 2023 Club Night Lights Program Small Grants Round (total project cost up to $300,000) Opens 1 February 2023, closes 31 March 2023 Annual & Forward Planning Round (total project cost over $300,000) Opens 1 June 2023, closes 30 September 2023 Sport and Recreation Events Funding Program 2022/23 Round 2 Opens 30 January 2023, closes 27 February 2023 Note: Prior to submitting any DLGSC grant application, they must be provided to Recreation Services to approve and obtain Council endorsement. This is subject to the dates of Council meetings and deadlines for agenda items. These timeframes must be considered when compiling applications ready for submission. |

| Australian Sports Commission Funding The Australian Sports Commisssion offers provides the following funding opportunities for coaches, officials, and athletes: Local Para Champions - for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-24 participating in state, national or international championships for athletes with a disability. Local Sporting Champions - financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-18 participating in state, national or international championships. Round 4 of each of these programs are currently open, closing on 31 March 2023. AIS Elevate Learning Grants Program 2022/23 - this program invests in education and professional development opportunities and associated expenses for coaches with athletes on a Performance Pathway and endorsed by their relevant NSO in an AIS Categorised Sport. Round 3 applications open 15 March 2023, close 14 May 2023. See the Australian Sports Commission website for further details. |

| Healthway Healthy Sports Program Under the Healthy Sports Program, clubs and associations can apply for up to $4000 in funding to implement healthy eating initiatives and improve canteen facilities. | City of Cockburn Neighbourhood Networking Fund The City of Cockburn Community Development team operate the Neighbourhood Networking Fund which is also available for sporting clubs to access. The aim is to support local communities to connect and get to know each other by holding neighbourhood events such as picnics or barbeques, which must be held on public properties within Cockburn. Sports clubs could utilise the funding to connect with local residents around their sporting facility, not just club members. Conditions apply and applications must be submitted one month prior to any planned events.
