About Monarch Butterfly Workshop
Mexican Day of the Dead (Día de Los Muertos) celebration occurs at the same time as the annual Monarch butterfly migration in Mexico (October-early November). According to traditional belief, the Monarchs are the souls of ancestors. Enjoy this family-oriented workshop as we take the opportunity to talk about culture, heritage, and conservation efforts to help save these important pollinators. Create and decorate a Monarch Butterfly for this Day of the Dead.

The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts.

CHAC is an inclusive community of creatives that are dedicated to preserving, showcasing, educating and reflecting the essence of Chicano/a/x, Latino/a/x and other multicultural/multiracial communities.
