Newsletter ~ February 2025 Dear CHAC Community, The Chicano Humanities and Arts Council (CHAC Gallery) is so excited for their Annual Fundraiser Milagros del Corazón ~ Miracles of the Heart on Feb. 8th from 5pm-9pm at 834 Santa Fe Drive Denver, CO 80204. This is the first year that CHAC Gallery will be holding their annual fundraiser at their Santa Fe location. CHAC artists are excited and busy making hearts to send love out into the community. This is a magical event that builds and supports community making by using a heart as a common medium that every artist uses as their platform to create. Each heart is as unique as the artist that created it. These hearts are auctioned off during the evening’s silent auction, along with other artwork and gift baskets. This event is a perfect time to get ready for Valentine’s Day, while supporting CHAC Gallery and making it possible for them to continue serving the community. There will also be a wall showcasing youth artists that support CHAC's education programs.

Morgan DeVillier Morgan DeVillier is a Denver Metro based artist. Her focuses are on her multi-racial identity, environmental justice, and reproductive and gender rights. She utilizes acrylic paint, photography, and written word to create. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Anthropology. Her interests in creating are driven by her curiosity to understand the current social and environmental state of the world. She has volunteered around the world to explore ways in which people navigate and problem solve the impacts of globalization. Through art she poses questions about human relationships to their environment and each other. Morgan’s art practice continues to develop as she explores herself as a person of color, multi-racial and white passing, as an American citizen, a Coloradan, a human being, and an anthropological and environmental observer. The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts. CHAC is an inclusive community of creatives that are dedicated to preserving, showcasing, educating and reflecting the essence of Chicano/a/x, Latino/a/x and other multicultural/multiracial communities.
