Dear John,
Today marks the traditional date for Corpus Christi. However, many ecclesiastical provinces (for example, the United States) will celebrate this Solemnity on Sunday, June 19. On this day, the Church honors Jesus Christ Really, Truly, and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine.
We have a special page dedicated to this Solemnity. On this page, we are also offering a free eBook, The Twelve Stations of the Most Holy Eucharist. With this resource, you can explore salvation history, starting with Melchizedek in Genesis all the way to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in the book of Revelation.
In the United States, a National Eucharistic Revival starts on Sunday. This three-year initiative is intended to deepen our love and relationship with Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist. As we seek to grow in love for the Most Blessed Sacrament, let's remember the words of Mother Angelica: “Strengthen my love and my gratitude for this tremendous gift. Give me the faith to understand that the Eucharist makes everything possible.”
We hope that you will visit our page on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi to read Q&As, watch videos, and download the eBook related to this joyous day!
May God bless you and may Jesus in the Holy Eucharist transform your life.
