The Hollywood icon died on Thursday.

We lost a literal icon when Cicely Tyson died on Thurday night.
Despite the Hollywood legend and civil rights activist being 96, it still feels so shocking. Especially because she broke down barriers and gave her very best to us up until the very end. She lived a full life and received her flowers while she was alive. That's favor.
And she continues to receive well-earned flowers as tributes poured in far and wide, including from the Obamas, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.
Thank you, Ms. Tyson. Rest well.
