Space Week Science Celebration |
| This summer marks the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s “one small step” that changed the world and inspired generations of scientists. We are celebrating all things space throughout the duration of the Apollo 11 mission (July 16-24), with a special one-day extravaganza to recognize the moon landing on Saturday, July 20. Bring the family for a partner-laden event featuring content from space scientists, enthusiasts, and NASA representatives. Activities daily, July 16-24 This special science celebration is included in the price of general admission and is FREE for members! |

50th Anniversary of the "Moon Landing" |
| Saturday, July 20 | 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. It's the anniversary of the moon landing, but were we really there? Join us for a screening for the 1978 film Capricorn One for Hollywood's take (with NASA's technical assistance) on how a space mission might dupe millions. This is a 21 and up event with two complimentary drink tickets! Following the film, a panel discussion will address the psychology of conspiracy theories and debunk many of the moon landing hoax claims with strong science.
Event tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. |

Mountain Quest Now Playing |
| A lone climber, suspended hundreds of feet in the air, struggles to find the next finger hold, defining progress in inches. The dramatic visuals immerse us in a gripping contest of human determination versus the reality of gravity’s potent grip. Mountain Quest explores the precarious relationship of humanity’s quest to scale some of the world’s highest places, while also revealing the scientific and technological advances that have enabled us to conquer these peaks, exposing the heartbeat of the human soul. Educational insights about the engineering of climbing gear and skis and the aeronautical effects of a wingsuit are seamlessly integrated with dramatic visuals and action. |
