Building Memories, One Launch at a Time

In July 2015, I achieved my Level-3 high-power certification with a custom-built, all-fiberglass rocket for the Lifeproof company. While the technical details—like the motor used—fade over time, what remains vivid are the faces of those who shared the moment: my wife, two daughters, and members of our local rocket club.

 

Rocketry isn’t just about altitude or certifications; it’s about the stories we create. Years later, when Lifeproof returned that very rocket to me (read the full story here), forgotten memories surged back—the laughter, the anticipation, the collective breath held as the rocket soared. These moments, big or small, become the threads of our lives.
