I am having such a flap of a week. It’s Bird Week! (You may have heard or seen my posts flapping away about the Aussie Backyard Bird Count.) So many people are getting involved with it each year, and as a Citizen Science Project, it simply goes from strength to strength because of you and me - amateur and/or budding twitchers, keen to take on the daily task of dedicating 20 minutes to standing or sitting still, either in the backyard at home, in the street, down at the park, at work or wherever you may be, and observing the environment to see what birdlife may swing by.
