By Robyn

Cat First Aid Procedures for First Aid Kit - cat with bandaged right front paw and legThe following is an assignment I submitted on Feline First Aid. I thought it might be a nice addition to any feline first aid kit. Also I have provided lines at the bottom of the page to put the vet's phone number on.

Back Scratcher for My Dog
I have a Border Collier mix dog - Danny. He is an indoor/outdoor farm dog. I need to brush him a lot in the spring while he sheds and then throughout the year for pleasure. Danny is now 13 yrs old with arthritis and brushing can be painful to him. I had to find a way I could "brush" him without causing pain.
Giving Medicine to Dogs
My vet told me to start giving my dogs regular pumpkin for the fiber. I give it to them in the evening meal. At the same time, I give medications. Some of the medications I have to get very tricky with to get them to take it.

Today's Questions
House Trained Dog Peeing in Owner's Bed
My dog hasn't been spayed yet and is one year old. She's been house broken for 8 months now, with no problems. She just peed in my bed for the last 2 nights. She goes outside a lot, and has never had this problem in the past. I'm thinking it would help if we spayed her.
Older Dog Started Pooping in the House and Car
Our German Shepherd bitch who is 9 years old has suddenly started pooing in the car and on the sofa. We have a 15 year old Collie who is the alpha and is not long for this world. Is she claiming her territory as our next alpha? We have four dogs in total.
Treating a Feral Mama Cat and Her Kittens for Fleas
I have a feral mama cat who, along with her "community" mother, "adopted my home, pregnant. For the past few months she took up home in my bedroom where she eats, sleeps, and uses a litter box. She does come out to hang out with other pets, watch TV, and observe us out of curiosity.
