Good evening, There seems to be little pity around for those folks who have found themselves on the wrong end of the Government’s Spanish quarantine dictat. Looking through some of the comments on social media, the general consensus is that they have made their own bed and now they will have to lie in it. And while many of us who have opted to holiday in a less than hospitable climate - ie most places in the UK - might agree, it is difficult not to feel at least some sympathy for the families who will now be forced to isolate on their return - and those who have paid for a holiday which is now unlikely to happen. After all, it is only a few weeks since the government removed the quarantine rule and although ministers did say that could change at any time, most folk will have been so delighted to brush down their passports that they were probably not listening. It is almost certain that people are paying much more attention now. Holidaymakers in Spain may well have been the guinea pigs for many other countries which could soon be heading down the same route.
