Carlyle Group's AI-driven hiring platform HireVue reached a deal with VC-backed recruitment automation provider AllyO, Carlyle announced Tuesday. The deal agreement assigned AllyO a valuation between $50 million and $100 million, sources told me. For HireVue, which is known for its AI-powered interviewing technology, adding AllyO to its platform provides strategic synergies, said Tyler Parker, a vice president focused on investments in the technology sector at Carlyle Group. | Top Scoops | | Octavius Mihaies, former managing partner on the technology team at investment bank Clearwater International, joined Access Capital Partners as a partner, PE Hub has learned. Mihaies will cover the European technology sector and will lead an investment team of four members. Access Capital has offices in France, Germany, Benelux, Finland and the UK, and holds more than EUR 11 billion of assets under management. Michael Wilkins, a former managing director and global co-head of the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) group at investment bank Harris Williams, joined Shamrock Capital, according to the firm’s press release shared on Oct. 6. “Well, after 25 years in investment banking, including nearly a decade with my Harris Williams family I have decided to move on to the next adventure.
